This is my tumblr. I wish I had a theme but it's pretty random. I post anything that happened to me or that I think is cool. I also use this space to clear my head when my thoughts don't fit in 140 characters. My real blog his here.

After last year’s NCAA Tournament radial bracket, I tackled the NFL Playoffs this year in a little different way, and I’m working on something much cooler (and more informative!) for March Madness. Thanks, Chart Lovers!

Tonight I was reminded of the private blog I wrote (basically a diary) from 2007-2010 in college. I’ve been reading it and it’s pretty humorous. I don’t feel like I’ve matured that much but apparently I have.

In this private blog many of the entry titles were quotes from songs. (As is normally the case in all good diary blogs.) It reminded me of this gem of a song.

just one of those times…

I sold my old laptop on ebay in August. The person then proceeded to tell me they wanted to return it. No problem- i clearly stated I did not accept returns as did ebay

The person opened up a ticket and for some reason ebay allowed them to return it to me- it was out of my control.

I was outraged and pissed and i can get very emotional sometimes. It really hurt to have that $200 taken out of my bank account when i so desperately needed it.

When the box was returned I was too upset to open it. I didn’t even want to open it over Christmas break but I thought maybe I’d give the laptop to my uncle if it worked ok. (As it did when I mailed it.)

The laptop has a new, much cleaner battery that doesn’t work. aka… not my battery.

The laptop is missing its charger and for a 2007 macbook the charger is probably the most valuable part of the thing.

ebay has an understandable 90 day policy so this is all a mute point. I’m just pissed that I sold a perfectly working machine to someone and they were allowed to return it with a broken battery and no charger.

While this is technically (I suppose) my fault- ebay should not allow returns. It is a risk to purchase something on a user trading website and it’s your own fault if you don’t like what you get. Let the seller ratings tell the story for you and be the only sign of assurance that you will get what you like.

So after reading this all I ask of you is please do not buy or sell anything on ebay. There are hundreds of other websites to support- please just do not support this one. Thanks!
